IN MY OWN WORDS

"Though Michael Knight was a fictional person who never asked me to believe in him, he was the first television character who taught me to believe in myself and try to always come out a winner."

Take Me With You

Celebrating the Stories, Lessons, and Wisdom of the Mothers who Shaped Our Lives

by Maureen Spataro, Coordinator and Leading Author

StarLight Books Publishers, Spring Lake Heights NJ

Dr. Paul Wichansky has contributed his essay, A Mother's Love is Everlasting

Book will be debuting October 12th, 2024.

I have submitted a full chapter about my late mom, Barbara Wichansky, who faced  her own challenges with courage, grace, and humility.  My essay will be published in this book along with essays from 18 other authors!

Here's a YouTube video tribute I created to celebrate my mom.  Enjoy!

Take Me With You by Maureen Spataro

IN MY OWN WORDS

"Our mothers who gave us life have also given us the power to share unconditional love with others, regardless of race, culture, heritage, religion, disability, or lifestyle. We sadly do not yet fully harness this power."

DR. PAUL'S MEMOIR (2022)

Yes I Can!  Lessons Learned from a Life Less Ordinary

by Paul Stuart Wichansky

Published by Scriptor Publishing Group, Prairie Village, KS.

An uplifting memoir of a former special needs child who has faced incredible adversity and became a leading motivational speaker and disability advocate.

I share stories that have enabled me to fully accept and navigate the limitations of cerebral palsy and hearing loss, achieving beyond what others believed I could do.

Uniquely structured and written from a first-person point-of-view, I switch to the second-person narrative at the end of each chapter to help inspire the reader.

Yes I Can memoir by Dr Paul Wichansky

IN MY OWN WORDS

"For the first time in my life, the question, “Why me?” seemed to be an unusually selfish attitude. Rather, I should instead have been asking myself, “Why not me?” My challenges should not emotionally paralyze me; they have helped me discover my other gifts — to love, to learn, to treasure."

AMAZON REVIEW

"Dr. Paul's heartwarming inspirational account of his life living with cerebral palsy and hearing loss touches the reader's heart.  It provides inspiration to live a full and happy life despite obstacles along the way.  He emphasizes confidence, perseverance, determination, a positive attitude, and a dedicated support system of family and friends to help guide one through the journey of life.  He gives us a glimpse of the lessons learned along the way and writes with a keen perception on navigating his challenges and rising above them.  At times, he will bring tears to your eyes and other times you will find yourself laughing out loud as he describes life's treasured moments in his own unique way." — Sandy D.

In April 2023, I scheduled a book signing at a banquet following my keynote on overcoming adversity. The timing was perfection, as the line for the book signing was longer than the line for the open bar!

Celebrating the Stories, Lessons, and Wisdom of the Mothers who Shaped Our Lives

Submitted essay to be considered for publication in October 2024.

I have submitted a 3500-word essay about my late mom, Barbara Wichansky, who faced her own challenges with courage, grace, and humility.  I am hoping that the essay is worth consideration for inclusion in this proposed book.
